welcome to your new life

so my dad has wanted to build an MGB GT project for a while now. he's had this car sitting & waiting for as long as I can remember. this year he decided it was time.

car was freshly painted after all the welding and fab work was done.

this is the new heart. local engine builders "forest & forest" built this thing. if you know anything about them, you know the insane quality they put in their builds. note the billet aluminum brackets - this car is sparing no luxury, including a modern air conditioning system

world-class T5 tranny to handle the power.

soon to be together.

still needs the bumpers. showing off the old-school solid red tails.

the master-mind and his assistant.

he decided to go with 15s for this one. i believe they're "compomotive" rims or something. i'll refrain from forming an opinion on them until i see the car at proper ride height.

the entire car was rewired. Lucas wiring is not known for its quality. more often known for setting fire, so it had to go.

wilwood stopping power.

custom gas tank. this tank holds twice as much fuel as the stock tank. perfect for a touring car.

i could be wrong, but i believe he's rocking QA1s all around for shocks and springs.

had a hard time getting good pics of the custom 4-link rear end.

shop dog (in training)

install has been delayed:

the engine and tranny were supposed to go in tonight, however, the keen eye of Mark from Marken Performance (helping with the install) noticed some uneven wear on the input shaft and decided it wasn't worth risking installing until it was perfect. sourcing new tranny/input shaft.

S-Chassis..

99% of the time it was once someone else's baby. Mine is no different.
My current car in it's previous, non smashed n flat black, state.

Still super happy to own it. Time to polish my turd.

the waiting game

while i'm waiting for parts for the fc to show up from Mazdatrix, I've been working a little bit on the 240.

hello there. picked up these puppies up from NuVisionz Anthony aka TK aka Blade aka The darkest of the cool kids...

it's not slammed yet. but it's sooo much better than the 4x4, blown shock setup i had before. needs 15s.

i think it's fairly obvious why my stereo and gauge weren't working well. dealing with other people's mods is shitty.

yeah. shit glows pink now. or purple. or fuchia. or whatever that is.

I don't mind the occasional tattied n tittied girl. Especially if they are scrappin.

I know it's an older video now but, still very enjoyable.

0 days since last issue

i actually drove my car this weekend! so stoked on that.
it's just slapped together, hence the rando wheels and bumper half on.

tossed on some visual sugar love. Martino is good people.

oh and it broke again tonight. lol. who runs a brake hardline to a flex line and back to a hardline? srsly. SS lines it is then.

it...lives?

finally got the fc out of the garage and took it for a rip. OH MAN. SO much fun.
ignore the lame wheels.
anyways
it's rough around the edges still and needs lots of little jobs doing.
but it drives so nicely.

as for my little overheating problem that lasted all last year, i believe it was a case of a slipping belt, a broken pulley and some lack of research on my part. this little guy is part of the problem. since been replaced with a dual-belt alternator pulley. i won't know for sure if that was the fix until i get it plated and cause some real havoc through the city.

then its putting the bucket seats in. grip royal steering wheel on. cleaning up some poor wiring on my part. speedo. wheels. steering angle kit.

drift.

stoked. it's a one-off from Grip Royal. check them out if you don't know already.

oh. and this little addition to the family...i don't know what to say about her yet. has an RB20. and she's not rotten.
but needs some surious suspension work, so we'll see what lies ahead for her.
